Thinking of selling your Home?
Phased in as of 1st August 2007 before anybody is allowed
to market their home for sale they must by law purchase a Home Information
Pack from an approved HIP provider. That's where we here at Home Energy

The process is as follows:
We have a variety of HIP Packages covering:
- Evidence of title
- Terms of sale
- Replies to standard pre-contract enquiries
- Property searches
- Copies of any planning consents and building control certificates
- Home Condition Report
- Copies of guarantees and warranties
- An energy rating done by an authorised and approved Domestic Energy Assessor
Also, for leasehold properties :
- Copies of lease documents
- Most recent service charge accounts and receipts
- Regulations made by the landlord or management company
- Other legal documents about the landlord or management company.
You choose the right package
for you
We can provide you with the basic legal requirements for a Home Information
Pack keeping your costs to a minimum. However we also offer a range of packages
with extra benefits designed to make your transaction run quicker and smoother
taking out some of the time delaying factors.
These include our Entry Home
Energy Reports™ HIP package taking care of all the minimum requirements
for a house sale, the Silver Home Energy Reports™ HIP and
the Gold Home
Energy Reports™ HIP package.
These services aid the conveyancing
process as well as giving potential buyers information which can help
them make a more confident buying decision and a faster house sale.
Additional Benefits attached to Home Energy Reports™ Services
- We offer a discounted Home Energy Report to holders of either one our
Home Information Packs or Energy Reports if you purchase within 4 years
of your initial purchase with us. This allows any energy efficiency improvements
to be certified in the form of an updated new Home Energy Report.
- Furthermore it has been rumoured that future changes in the council tax
system may allow savings to be made in the amount of tax you pay by possessing
a Home Energy Report with an energy rating above the government target
for your home.
