As part of the governments plans to reduce fuel poverty within the UK,
Home Energy Reports™ provides local authorities expert advice on the measures that can be taken to help residents in local government housing to reduce their energy consumption and bills.
The Home Energy Report is a comprehensive means to evaluate the energy efficiency of a home and provides recommendations to make the property more energy efficient.
We are able to make an assessment of the initial condition of your housing stock and then make a re-assessment after any changes have been completed to officially endorse the improvements.
We also offer services to help your tenants become more aware of energy savings and best practice within the home which will help them save money in the future too.
All of these services and more can be arranged with our Housing Association team which can help you meet your targets.
See Grants & Schemes section or Contact Us.
The government defines a 'Fuel Poor' household as being one which needs to spend more than 10% of its total household income on home energy consumption in order to maintain an adequate standard of warmth.
The UK government aims to completely eradicate fuel poverty by 2018, the emphasis of which lies with local housing authorities. There are currently 1.2 million households in the UK on low income and struggling to adequately heat their homes for financial reasons. The government has set targets for local councils to assist every one of these households within the next 11 years.
The Home Energy Reports™ Housing team will make an assessment of the condition of your housing stock. This allows you to draw a comparison of your existing average SAP score across your portfolio and compare it to the common target SAP score of at least 60 points by 2010. If your housing portfolio falls short of the 60 point score, then we at Home Energy Reports™ are able to offer you advice and services to improve the score by the 2010 deadline and help your tenants stay warm affordably.
